We're a small team of developers devoted to our goal of turning great ideas into quality games and bringing them to the public. We plan to achieve this goal by using our strengths to our advantage. Every member of our team is a dedicated gamer or developer in their own right and has extensive knowledge of both the position they work in and the elements of design that go into making a great playing experience. By combining our efforts we're sure that our first projects, 3RD·ARC and Imperium, will be successes for us and gamers alike.

Web Graphic Design Opening
Special Position Offer

Quasiplad Game Design is looking for one person who excels at graphic and logo design to fill an open visual web design position. This opening is an unpaid and temporary position, but may lead to placement on our Third Arc development team if it is desired. Please read the following expected duties and acknowledgments listed below; and send a personal message to LG from your forum account if you are interested (or email him at lordgradient@quasiplad.com). Include samples! We encourage you to post any questions you have in this topic.

Expected duties:
  • One 605W x 146H PNG logo (preferably with transparency) for Third Arc based on provided concept art and other project material. A photoshop PSD image is also fine as long as it is layered and the layers are properly labeled. The logo may be bigger, but the dimensions must remain the same ratio (i.e. 1210W x 292H would also be acceptable).
  • One 32W x 32H PNG icon (transparency required if it's not square) for Third Arc based on a completed logo and/or project material.
  • Six 150W x 53H PNG navigation buttons to be used on Third Arc's website (Devlog/Home, Story & Setting, Characters, Features, Media, and Forum).
Acknowledgments:
  • You must be able to provide your own computer software.
  • Concept art will be made freely available to aid you in your design work.
  • Written material will be made available upon request only and will require you to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to being accessible.
  • Material submitted becomes the property of Quasiplad Game Design. However, if you provide and prove your real name (first and last) you will be fully credited for all of your submissions.
  • There is no guarantee that your submitted material will be used for any length of time. If it is not used or ceases to be used it will be destroyed. Submitted material will not be sent back.
  • No one is guaranteed this position over someone else because we like them more. We will make our decision entirely based on provided samples.
Upon completion of the expected duties listed above, you may be given the opportunity to join our Third Arc development team as its lead graphic designer -- responsible for managing all subsequent graphic designers who join the team -- or as a member of its graphics department (storyboard, art, interface, etc.), pending results and any currently available positions.

Again, if you have any questions just post them here. We'll be sure to answer them for you.

Thanks :)

Home Index Page 99.9% Finished
Nothing left to do but update placeholder links and images
The main page at http://www.quasiplad.com/index.php is now finished. I will update small details like the product banners and position opening links later, after I've completed the Products page. My focus right now is getting the Products section done and transferring the Staff and Apply Online sections over to the new backend style. The application system still works right now, and it will function identically when it's updated.

So as it stands right now, I'd estimate I'm about 75% finished with everything on the main site and somewhere around 10% finished with the Third Arc and Imperium websites. I'm not as concerned about those for the time-being, since we have forums set up for them. Plus, we haven't done anything to establish our presence yet. We're holding off on that until we have the websites done.

In just a couple of weeks the forums were installed and upgraded, the forum skin was updated, the website's design was enhanced and finished, and the online application system was installed. Within another week or two, I wouldn't be surprised if we were fully up and running! August of 2008 is going to be a good month for Quasiplad Game Design.

Template Updated, Pages Being Filled with Content
July 15th Update
I'm not going to lie. I've been slacking off with getting the site done these past couple of days. You can all thank E3 for that. At least the press conferences are over. Tomorrow is a completely open day for me that I can spend sitting at my computer working.

I did, however, manage to finish updating the template. News posts will now be fed directly to the website's main page as soon as they are posted. Pictures will also parse perfectly fine, as well as most text formatting. If you want to see what I'm talking about, you can visit the test index page at http://www.quasiplad.com/index2.php. The mission statement at the top will be changed around a bit, and the product development section at the bottom will be removed completely and put into the Products section. Overall, the site will feel very organized and have a nice consistent look all around.

The template for the Third Arc website is also nearing completion. Third Arc's website requires much less work, so as soon as Quasiplad's website is up and running expect to see Third Arc's go up shortly after.

Speaking of Third Arc, I posted a "Frequently Asked Questions" topic in its public forum. It answers some of the more common questions I've been getting about the game lately. If you like what you read and have an interest in game design, click on the Apply Online link at the top of the page. We're looking for any help we can get right now.

We could also use some card artists for Imperium. If you're an artist and want to be a part of our Imperium development team, fill out an application. Just be sure to include a link to some sample artwork of yours in the samples field.
